This tour is a follow up of the talk given by Kate Mills and Dr Lyn Barham in March.

Are organic gardeners still regarded as weird?

Come along and hear stories about BOGs history, and about the soil under your feet. The Community Gardens in Weston are made up of 21 allotment plots, now forming vegetable, fruit and flower gardens, and an orchard. Volunteers tend it lovingly – and share a lot of cake! Central to organic growing is concern for soil, so we’ll learn about recent understandings of how soil functions.

There are muddy paths to negotiate so please wear appropriate shoes.

Parking is available (if coming by car) either at the back of Charlotte Street car park or Victoria Park. The easiest route here is via No 4 bus from the central bus station The bus stop is just after Marlborough Lane. The bus runs every 28 minutes - regular schedule hours: 07:42 - 20:43

The tour includes tea and homemade cake!
