An evening to celebrate the start of an exhibition of Jessica Palmer’s beautiful art
Art Open Evening at the Waterside Bar, Widcombe Social club
Sunday 16th March 5.30- 8.00pm
Until April we are showcasing artwork by Jessica Palmer, a local artist based in Widcombe.
Jessica is a landscape artist, whose work combines paper collage, watercolour paper cutting and painting. She works in mixed media, bringing together her origins as an illustrator, her paper artistry and her passion for nature to create pictures and installations.
Jessica’s work depicts both real and imaginary views of the multitude of wild and unseen birds, plants and creatures; drawing attention to endangerment and the challenges posed to wild spaces by human activity.
The images are filled with life and movement - flurries of birds, insects and wild plants in the understory. They capture a hidden world we rarely have a chance to see.
All artwork on display is available to buy - just ask staff how to purchase.
