Bath Organic Group – 30 years of growing organically

A talk about organic gardening principles and the Bath Organic Group Community Garden.

Are organic gardeners still regarded as weird? Come and judge for yourself. Bath Organic Group members Kate Mills and Dr Lyn Barham will explain the principles, tell stories from their history, and talk about the soil under your feet. The Community Garden is made up 21 allotment plots, now forming vegetable, fruit and flower gardens, and an orchard. Volunteers tend it lovingly – and share a lot of cake! Central to organic growing is concern for soil, so we’ll take a look at recent understandings of how soil functions.

The talk will be followed by a tour of BOG’s community garden later in the year.

This talk is FREE but you will need to register so that we can send you the zoom invite. We hope you would like to donate toward costs and we ask you to do this when you book.

Dr Lyn Barham has kindly prepared a summery with links to additional information
