The landscape at Prior Park has changed dramatically since Ralph Allen started work on it in 1734. Due to the influence of the poet Alexander Pope and (possibly) the landscape architect, Capability Brown, it developed into the more informal garden we see today.
Join us for a guided walk with the Head Gardener at Prior Park. We will learn about the original layout, see drawings and photographs to show how it developed and hear about its recent restoration. The walk will be mainly based round the lower lake. An optional tea can be purchased at the café, following the walk.
Please remember there is no general parking at Prior Park. (NT Limited parking for those with blue badges can be reserved.)
Non NT members will also pay the usual garden entry fee (£11)
