WIDCOMBE CHRISTMAS MARKET - SATURDAY 22 & SUNDAY 23 NOVEMBER

The Christmas Market is a popular event organised by the Widcombe Association. It does take a considerable amount of time to organise and Clare Furlonger has dealt with this for the last few years with the support of the Events Committee. As some of you will know, Clare will shortly be leaving Bath so we are looking for someone to take over this task. If you are interested then please let the Secretary know at [email protected]

Clare and other members of the Events Committee will be able to support and advise so you will not be alone!

BLEED KITS

The Avon and Somerset Bleed Kit Partnership is a collaboration between the Police, NHS, South Western Ambulance Service and Heartsafe. Together, with local businesses, charities, councils, and community groups they have funded and installed over 500 public access bleed kits throughout the communities of Avon and Somerset. The bleed kits are designed to be used by the untrained person and contain a simple instruction card where assistance can be given to a patient in the precious few minutes of a catastrophic bleed. The red dispenser unit contains a trauma pouch and the cabinet itself is unlocked, therefore granting unrestricted and immediate access. There are a number of them distributed around the centre of Bath with one in Widcombe, located at the Baptist Church.

The Widcombe Association is a not-for-profit residents association for the community of Widcombe, Bath
