WIDCOMBE HILL CLOSURE
The works on Widcombe Hill have commenced and it is anticipated that they will last for up to four weeks. A closure order is in place though access to properties is being allowed. Despite requests, we have not been given a clear understanding of how the closures/restrictions will be applied as the works progress.

Calling all you flower enthusiasts - brighten up your garden this summer!
Come and hear some valuable tips about growing beautiful flowers in your garden this summer from local enthusiasts Caroline Davies and Zosia Brett. There will be lots of images to inspire you.
They will also talk about showing flowers and also give a behind the scenes look at our local Flower and Produce sale. You never know, you may find yourself a winner!

TRANSITION BATH EVENT – TUESDAY 11 MARCH 7PM TO 8.30PM - PERCY COMMUNITY CENTRE
Transition Bath has organised an evening of talks on how we use Bath’s landscape and plan its urban growth to shape a sustainable future for the city.
Hear from speakers on wider landscape policy, the need to reset the Local Plan, the mechanisms for promoting exemplar new development, and the role and power of community engagement in the planning process – how you can help to shape your city. You will also hear about Bath’s exciting new initiative, Bath Landscape City, and the role this will play in creating a greener, more biodiverse and sustainable city for the future.
The three speakers are Matt McCabe, cabinet member for the urban environment; Transition Bath’s Philip Haile; and the Council's Landscape City project manager Paul Pearce. WIDCOMBE ASSOCIATION ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING - WEDNESDAY 30 APRIL 7.30PM - WIDCOMBE SOCIAL CLUB
Just a reminder that the 2025 Annual General Meeting will be on Wednesday 30 April at 7.30pm at Widcombe Social Club. The formal notice will be in the April Talking Points. Following the AGM there will be a speaker, to be announced.
RIVER AVON LITTER PICK - SATURDAY 29 MARCH – CAN YOU HELP?
As already advised, the Great Avon Litter Pick this year will be held on Saturday 29 March between 10.0am and 12 noon. WA will once again be taking part in this event so please make a note in your diaries.
